Ze hadden beter die hele rotor van platina kunnen maken. Het idee alleen al doet afbreuk aan het geheel vind ik. Ik vind het niet kunnen bij zo’n merk als dit.
Het is een hele bewuste keuze.
Die Rotor is zo flinterdun dat goud de flexibel zou worden.
De huidige oplossing met een gold plated (en bewerkte rotor) incl een platina gewichtje is een stuk prijziger dan een volgouden rotor.
Het is een techniekkeuze ipv een geldkwestie.
Ik vind het persoonlijk wel jammer dat ze in de automatische uurwerken geen gouden chatons gebruiken.
Het zou geen deal breaker zijn maar het zou gaaf zijn als ze het wel hadden gedaan.
Ja ik had het gelezen en ik vind het niet kunnen. Maak de rest dan gewoon van niet verguld staal of volledig uit platina. Wat van goud lijkt moet van goud zijn vind ik. Vergulden hoort niet wat mij betreft.

Ik ben toevallig net dit stuk aan het lezen:
According to A. Lange & Söhne the main motivation was to bring a thin, automatic movement with 72 hours of power reserve; and it was impossible to improve the L921.2’s power reserve (from 46 hours) without increasing its thickness. Same reason also applies to the use of a gold-plated rotor; as a solid gold would have been unstable with such thin dimensions. You might also ask; Why there is no gold-chaton? A. Lange & Söhne says; There was simply no place .
Deze Rotor is ook gold plated.

Concluding Thoughts
Saxonia collection is one of the main pillars of A. Lange & Söhne since the brand’s re-birth in 1994. Even though it was given life in exchange of a betrayal to one of the guiding principles of the brand; soon Saxonia attained its own character through and through and sailed out to its adventure with much more confidence and nothing to hide.
Gone through many changes, I believe that the post 2007 Saxonia Manual collection (including the astonishing Saxonia Thin) offers tremendous value both in retail and perhaps even more so in the second market. I could say the same for the 1997-2007 Langematik collection which is utterly unique, characteristic with a stellar movement that truly reflects what A. Lange & Söhne about: No corners-cut, ahead of the curve and inspiring.
However, I am not a fan of the post 2011 Saxonia Automatic collection one bit. All I can hope for Lange is to bring an inspiring and daring design to the line.

Heb de Explorer 36mm en de Lange 1815 Chrono. blijkt tot nu toe een perfecte set van twee horloges.
De first world worsteling is: wat is de ideale derde?
De El Primero staat al 15 jaar op het lijstje als droomhorloge. Maar wil eigenlijk niet twee chrono’s.

Die zit er wel mooi tussenin. Iets formeler dan de Rolex, maar sportiever dan de ALS. Kan bijna altijd. Zou echt een heel mooi drietal zijn.

Ik baal nu een beetje dat ik zelf niet voor jouw nieuwe Zenith bent gegaan. 
Het wordt sowieso Zenith, of een JLC.

Grappig dat je dat zegt want dit drietal heb ik nu toevallig in huis.
Blijft een heerlijke set zo, sportfief, casual en dressy. Geen overlap in materialen, geen overlap in banden.
Automaat en handopwinder. en alle drie zonder datum
Een Reverso Tribute Small seconds zou echt waanzinnig in die set passen.
