After captivating collectors in its stainless steel editions, the Essence Space Glacier returns—this time encased in the ultralight, ultra-durable and ultra-comfortable carbon fiber and ceramic case; the Leggera.
At its core lies a dial like no other—crafted from the Muonionalusta meteorite, the oldest ever discovered on Earth. This extraterrestrial fragment, believed to originate from the iron core of a long-destroyed planetoid, crashed into our planet over a million years ago. It was unearthed from a glacial moraine in the Arctic tundra, having endured four separate ice ages.
Its naturally occurring crystalline structure—known as the Widmanstätten pattern—is completely unique to each dial. To preserve and elevate this intricate pattern, we apply a layer of 98% pure silver via electroplating—followed by six hand-applied layers of translucent blue lacquer. The result is a dial that captures light with remarkable depth and brilliance, while remaining entirely one of a kind.
