Hallo Ik ben Noah

Welcome Noah, it’s always good to see more people with knowledge registering here. (tu)

As I just recently started this (great) new hobby, I must say honestly that I was not
familiar with your work. But boy oh boy, those watches sure look good and I must
admit that I am pretty jealous of your knowledge and skills. Great craftsmanship!

Nice work Noah!!! and welcome, I have a SKX031 mod Robbie409 made it for me:)

Will surely have a look at your posts, I’ve bought a SKX013 recently so I can fiddle around a bit. (tu)
Next step is buying some tools and bezel/dial/hands. Pretty tricky if one is not sure what to look for.

Ah yes that one was an instant classic …

look around for a bunch of cheap or broken watches and just get right into them and try to take apart …

you will learn from doing …

here’s a good post for tools

Thanks for the great link, I was looking at these myself.
Just for starters as I don’t want to invest too much $$ as long as I’m not sure that I will get ‘into’ it.

Simple press tool with dies. ($22~€15 including shipping to NL)

20 pcs tool set ($32~€23 including shipping to NL)

The press is good it is the one my friend Jake uses

but it is best to find the other tools one by one
since most sets the quality of each pats is not too good …

OK, thanks for the help Noah! (tu)

That’s impressive Noah, very nice indeed.

Cheers

Hello Noah, nice to see you here

You will find a lot of buyers of the Tsunami here.

And people who modified the Tsunami   too.

Jurgen has replaced the bracelets of 3 Tsunami’s with solid oysters
I replaced hands and dials.

Always messing with Seiko watches… always …

I won;t buy th epressing tool!

It is not stable enough, crystal will not be pressed in horizontally.

Here a a mod that a lot of suppliers have contributed to:

Dial: from Noah and relumed by me
Hands: from Yobokies (who is less a modder I think)
Bezel insert: from NOah, I drilled out the lume pip and insert an original Seiko lume pip
Bracelet: Stella

And after assembling a short while in my beadblasting cabinet …

Wow great to hear
I will make the DIY: Seiko Diver Modding 101
It’s a great place to start for anyone who wants to Mod Seikos’
