The Lou Gehrig Limited Edition - limited to 2,130 pieces, naturally - is built on the Big Crown Pointer Date with a silver “Iron Horse” dial, Yankees blue accents, a blue #4 (Gehrig’s jersey number) on the date ring (retired by the New York Yankees in 1940), and a caseback engraved with Gehrig’s farewell address. The brown leather strap is double-stitched like a baseball glove. Every detail earns its place.
A portion of proceeds supports The Lou and Eleanor Gehrig Family Foundation and ALS research. June 2 is Lou Gehrig Day in the US. The timing of this release is not an accident.
CHF 2,400. Not everything worth buying is about the watch, but it does not hurt that the Big Crown Pointer Date is a fan-favourite design.

Oudere foto, maar het blijft toch echt wel mijn meest unieke en bijzonderste horloge (en ook de duurste). Ik vind 'm prachtig op de metalen band; Ik zie 'm niet vaak zo. En dan het prachtige lichte pastel blauwe.
