Junghans: Watchmakers’ tradition with innovative spirit

Within the tradition of the old masters, fine mechanical timepieces are being created and developed once again by Junghans.
By making use of reserved mechanical movements, the first automatic movements are presented in the tradition of the legendary caliber J88: the caliber J890 as a classic column wheel chronograph movement with date and power reserve, as well as the caliber J830 with date and central second.
These fine movements are employed in the newly created model series “1861”, part of the segment “Arthur Junghans”, which will have a truly distinctive “face”.
Both calibers work with a frequency of 4 Hz (28.800 semi-vibrations / hour) and feature a power reserve of more than 50 hours.
The train wheel bridges are decorated with a stripe finish and blued screws and thus echoes the work of the old masters.
