Vandaag mijn eerste flieger(achtige) horloge mogen ontvangen, een Maratac Original Mid Pilot.
De Maratac naam zal bij sommigen eerder bekend zijn om hun Nato en Zulu banden dan om hun horloges maar ze voeren dus ook een eigen horloge lijn.
Hun verhaal over het horloge:
The Maratac™ Mid Pilot Automatic watch was privately contracted for a local agency. The watch features a sterile clean dial, with no date and no branding. This watch is made to exemplify the purest form of time which provides a simplistic feel to the watch. Maratac™ has decided to use a Miyota (8245) 21 jewel movement known for its exceptional quality and accuracy. The Miyota movement provides 40 hours of power reserve when not in use. This movement is specially made by Citizen watch corporation.
The Maratac™ Mid Pilot watch is truly a “Manly” watch at a little over 39mm wide and 60 grams. This watch is ideal for both formal and casual events and is truly built to last with a robust sapphire domed crystal.

Dit model al langer op het oog gehad maar er was lastig aan te komen doordat ze alleen naar US adressen stuurden.

Het zal 
Hier kwam ook nog bij dat dit een discontinued model werd. Hierdoor kwam het er niet meer van. Gelukkig zijn ze dit model weer gaan leveren en had ik hulp van een mede-forumlid (wus) om dit horloge toch te kunnen kopen.
