World premiere combination of two traditional Swiss crafts is used in a timepiece: a mechanical music box basting 2 cylinders and combs and an exclusive Jacob & Co. JCFM02 manual-winding caliber.

Jacob & Co. once again demonstrates its irrepressible ability to surprise as it launches the new Opera Musical Watch. In this new collection, two cylinders and combs are mounted on the movement and rotate around the dial each time they play their melody, together with a triple-axis tourbillon and the subsidiary hour and minute dial.

After 2 years of development, Jacob & Co. introduces at Baselworld 2017 the Astronomia Solar featuring on its aventurine background the 7 planets of our solar system: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus.

Jacob & Co. pushed the Astronomia experience into a 44.5mm case: the Astronomia solar, a movement of 34.55mm diameter and 439 components in constant bi-directional rotation and a representation of the solar system, enhancing even more the celestial reality.

Altijd leuk om dergelijke kunststukjes te zien. Destijds had Ulysses er ook eentje.

Heel bijzonder, vooral technisch. Maar ik zou het dan liever in een tafelklok zien dan om de pols.

Leuk verzonnen en een hoogstandje qua techniek, maar wat mij betreft hoeft een horloge geen muziek te maken. De Astronomia Solar vind ik een stuk leuker.

Prachtig, als musicus gaat mijn zwak hartje hiervan toch sneller kloppen maar wat Jur zegt, misschien toch beter als tafelklok dan horloge.
Ook de Nardin is prachtig, ook mijn dank hiervoor.
