34mm tot 36mm was geweldig geweest. Maargoed, misschien is hij om de pols prachtig.
Er zijn betere GS quartz horloges lijkt mij. Jammer dat dit geen handopwinder is en niet een paar millimeter groter.

A propos band; ik was benieuwd naar de bandbreedte - die is volgens de GS website 15mm. Dat is in lijn met de relatief kleine kastdiameter maar ik trek persoonlijk vooralsnog een grens bij 18mm, daaronder wordt mij echt te iel.
Rond die kant had toch een winner geweest? Da’s te weinig afwijkend van de 37mm wellicht maar had die platen gewoon in die kasten gemikt. Klaar.

Oef ja. Dat is veel te smal en dan imo 100% een dames horloge voor dames met een maatje meer.
Misschien gaan we nu wel goede taper zien in de nieuwe modellen. Laten we het hopen.

Ik vind het prima dat ze een 33mm kast hebben voor dames die een chunky horloge zoeken, of voor heren met een heel erg ranke pols. Maar verdomme nog aan toe… Doe dan ook een taper van 20 - 16mm op de band van de SBGX255, bijvoorbeeld. Gewoon 2mm meer taper dan nu. Wordt het eleganter van.

Dat heb ik bij best veel Seiko releases, trouwens.
Als een 37mm horloge een 20mm bandaanzet heeft zou ik van een 33mm horloge een minimaal een 17mm bandaanzet verwachten. Misschien is dat omdat ik de Calatrava proporties goed vind.
15mm, dan krijg je een bobble-head met een dun lijfje, zeg maar. Ook voor dames. Ik vind het te smal.

**So, how exactly does the Seiko Metronome work**?
First, note the four pushers on the case at 2, 4, 8, and 10 o’clock. Let’s start with establishing that time-mode is the default setting for the Seiko Metronome.
Engaging the pusher at 8 o’clock starts the metronome mode, at which point the hands jump to 10 and 2 o’clock, after which the minutes hand begins its pendulum-like rhythmic motion steadily bouncing between 10 and 2 o’clock.
Adjusted via the pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock, the hour hand indicates what speed the metronome is set at: it ranges from 40 bpm, which is denoted at 2 o’clock, and goes all the way to 304 bpm, denoted at 10 o’clock. These beat rates are also grouped by their corresponding Italianate musical terms like Largo, Moderato, Allegro, etc.
Finally, while you’re in metronome mode, the 10 o’clock pusher activates the sound mode that is synced to the minute hand.
While you’re in metronome mode, engaging the 8 o’clock pusher changes the watch to now be in “reference tone mode,” which is used when tuning one’s instrument. While in this mode, the 10 o’clock pusher activates or deactivates the audible tone while the 2 and 4 o’clock pushers adjust the reference notes between A or B flat and 440, 442, and 443 Hz.

Is het alleen de foto’s of is er toch echt een verschil? Zo lijken de wijzers wat donkerder crème-kleurig. Het tachymeter-font bij de nieuwe lijkt meer gedrukt dan geprint. De wijzerplaat heeft iets meer een zilver/grijze gloed in plaats van puur wit. Ook vallen de subdials minder op, waardoor het minder duidelijk is dat het een solar horloge is.

Ik heb de paarse King Seiko gepast en die is echt prachtig. De kast is ook Zaratsu-gepolijst en dat zie je meteen die spiegelende vlakken en scherpe lijnen zijn echt next level in het echt.

Ik ben zo’n heer met een ranke pols, maar die band aanzet is echt te smal voor heren imo.
Van mij mag het klein, maar 15mm is toch echt te smal.
Lijkt wel of de tachometer bezel bij de nieuwe uit twee delen bestaat
