The New Green Credor Locomotive
Credor has announced a new addition to the Locomotive range that was originally designed by Gerald Genta. The GCCR997 features a new dial design in a dark green with a pattern representing “Green Light”* combined with a fine hexagonal pattern.
Each hexagon has a striped pattern that alternates in different directions, making the dial appear to flash in color depending on the angle at which the light hits it. *Green Light is a term derived from “aoginoko” (green light), and is used to mean “the go-ahead sign to move forward with something.”
The Locomotive hexagonal bezel design is secured by six hexagonal screws that are fixed from the rear and are a highlight of the 38.8mm diameter titanium case that is 8.9mm thick.
The same CR01 automatic calibre and hand finished integrated bracelet design as used on the 2024 Locomotive model is used again in this model. This model is not limited and is a standard addition to the line up.

Ik ben toch wel nieuwsgierig naar deze in het echt. Ik heb toch gelezen dat hij om de pols heel mooi ligt en die aparte band aansluiting niet opvalt.

Het is van vorig jaar, maar ik vind het een erg geslaagde serie. Een mooie voortzetting van de oude SARX/SDGM/SARW series. 13mm dik is wel een groot minpunt. Als die horloges 38x11mm waren was de roze bijvoorbeeld een instant buy, maar nu heb ik ze links laten liggen.

Gezien het fijne bolle saffierglaasje, acceptabel naar mijn bescheiden mening.

Ja, en de caseback zal, Seiko kennende, ook wel redelijk verzinken, waardoor hij ranker gaat ogen. Ik heb een 13mm dikke Presage met emaille plaat, draag 'm bijna nooit, want te groot en te log in de praktijk. Wel redelijk comfortabel voor wat het is, het moet gezegd. Maar ik zou 'm eens weg moeten doen.

Seiko Japan has announced a collaboration with magazine “George Tokoro’s Setagaya Base”.
Dit is George:
The SARY259 features a black and gray design with a skeletonized dial. George Tokoro is a Japanese musician and actor and the magazine covers a wide range of topics including cars, bikes, and technologies.
The dial cutout shape is based on the “upside-down fortune” motif beloved by Tokoro-san. The stainless steel case measures 39.5 x 12 x 46.2mm and houses a 4R72 automatic calibre.
This model is provided with special packaging and is a limited edition of 970 units.

Kijk, dit is nou een mooie illustratie waarom ik van Seiko houd. Het feit dat ze Citroën-achtige kolder kunnen maken en publiceren, jaar na jaar, naast de uiterst serieuze haute horlogerie, de sporthorloges van Grand Seiko, de design-forward spullen van Credor en de hele Seiko range an sich, dat is toch prachtig? Noem naast Moser en Studio Underd0g nog eens een merk wat dit soort dingen doet?
Een “he loves me, he loves me not” en vampier-horloge… wat een bazen.
