’ Durowe 7440 >> Official informations 
Hello everybody,
A long time has passed since we talked about the Durowe 7440 project. There has been a few rumors around and today i want to give the actual status.
Now we found a way to present the Durowe 7440 movement - it is based on a Unitas 6498 - in a finish we can do by ourself inhouse.
Some people already know that we have produced new bridges for the Unitas movement since many years.
We already have done a few movements but they always have been for limited Editions or Unique pieces.
Now we have installed a seperate working place in the STOWA manufacture to built this movement continously.
We can use this movement for all watches with the Unitas 6498 basic movement for a additional price of 350.- Euro - which is in one way a lot of money - in a other way: really cheap.

We invest a lot time and money to develop and produce new bridges for this movement.
On the other side we take existing parts from the Unitas 6498 - if not it would be impossible to bring this beauty for Euro 350.- !

So - it is a matter of taste and exclusivity to get a watch with this movement.
Some will like and some will safe the money and take the normal Unitas 6498.
We see this movement as an alternativ movement which makes a nice handwinding watch a bit more exclusive and special.
Thats it.
And we think there are not so many movements around for this additional price which are in this quality and exclusivity.
Make your decision, if you take the Unitas 6498 in our Top Finish you will have a nice and best quality watch and movement.
If you take the Durowe 7440 you have a more exclusive and different looking movement.
If this upgrade is necessary - please decide by yourself
Our plan was not to develope a complete new movement with producing all parts by ourself.
We have decided to make something nice and special with our possibilities and our proffesion of design.
Also with a true target: To keep a special and high quality watch affordable!
I think with the Durowe 7440 we have reached this target.
