Omega vintage

Hi guys,

Soon is gonna be my wife’s birthday and I want to give her a vintage Omega.
The problem is that I don’t know where to go, I mean a place to see the watch. I was looking on internet and I don’t really trust eBay or Marktplaats.
Other question is how much should I pay for it, I’ve seen watches going from 250 to 2000, the range is huge and some times for the same watch.
This is my first time in a forum and I hope someone can help me.

Cheers!

Hello,

It would be helpfull if you tell us where you are based, as to avoid giving you addresses 500km away…

As to pricing, it all depends on popularity and condition. If you do not want to invest time into getting to know all the ins and outs, I suggest buying at a reputable place would be your best option. You won’t get the best possible price, but at least you won’t pay premium for a dud.

Hi sirksael,
I leave in Amstedam.
Thanks for your help

Did you already check Chrono24. Very trustworthy website

If you live in Amsterdam, you can visit some stores just for an impression like ‘Amsterdam Watch Company or Amsterdam Vintage Watches’.

What type of Omega are you looking for? Automatic, gold, dress…?

Hi guys,
Today I’m going to visit some stores.
I’m looking for a automatic, silver (steel) Seamaster, De Ville or Genève.
I’ll let you know if I get lucky today.
Thanks!

Found it!..in Spain  (http://www.todocoleccion.net)
Nice Omega De Ville, verry good shape and original including box.
Thanks guys for all the advises, I hope she likes the watch as much as I do
