Google eens: Bulova marine star 7731
De bezel klopt wel volgens mij. Het 7731 kaliber is vrij zeldzaam en o.a. gebruikt door Breitling. De foto’s die ik vind van de uurwerken in Marine Stars zijn níet gesigneerd. Het lijkt er dus op, dat er ooit een vervangend werk is gemonteerd.

Op een ander forum ontwikkelde zich dezelfde discussie:
[i]"…believe some are signed Breitling, but the Valjoux 7731 isn’t really a Breitling movement, it is Valjoux’s update on the Venus 188, adding shock protection and so forth onto the venerable old movement.
It is clear from the Marine Stars and the ExPark Monte Carlos that they were made in the same factory using the same components, many sourced from the Breilting failure in 1979 (from memory). It is also clear that all the 7740 movements were originally signed Breitling and had the signature machined off.
Looking at online photos of the 7731 in the Bulovas, it seems clear to me that there is a brushed finish to the back of the bridge that may indicate removal of the Breitling signature. Perhaps it was not done on this watch.
Perhaps it is a replacement bridge.
I am not sure we can be terribly sure, really.
