Sinn Dealers

Hey guys! Apologizes for speaking English I only just started taking Dutch lessons so you guys definitely don’t want to read my terrible Dutch

Anyways I’m new to the forum and mechanical watches in general but have had my eye out for a Sinn 104. The problem is I would like to try it on first as I have pretty small wrists. I would prefer to buy used but haven’t seen much around so thought maybe I could try an authorized Sinn dealer. The last thread I could search about this was from a while back but are there still no dealers in the Netherlands? Are there any dealers relatively close to Utrecht? I do have a motorcycle so I can travel to Frankfurt if that’s the best place (at least if the weather starts to warm up  ) but would be nice to find something closer to home.

Cheers and thanks guys!

There are no authorized Sinn dealers in The Netherlands. You will have to go to Germany.

Welcome by the way.

That’s a bummer there’s nothing close by but I guess a good excuse for a road trip now

Sinn doesn’t have dealers - they officially have “depots”. There used to be one in The Hague, but Gerard N. gave up years ago. The market for this brand is just too small here.

The difference between a dealer and a depot is, I think, in the rather small margin for the retailer in the case of Sinn watches.

With Sinn having set up both a new building for its manufacture and one for retail in Frankfurt, I guess you’ll need to find a nice spring morning to skip work and kickstart your bike.

Welcome to the forum!

Lauscher in Aachen, as mentioned above. Do phone ahead to check for availability though; they carry only a small collection.

Juwelier Roberto in Essen has a big inventory. They also have their own limited editions of the U1.

Might make a very fine combo with visiting the Techno-Classica; probably the largest classic car-show/fair in the world. In the Messe Essen. If you’re into cars as well. No bikes here to be found. From Wednesday 21st of March 'till Sunday 25th. Wednesday is much more expensive, beware.

I recommend visiting Freiburg. It’s a lovely city and they have a Sinn dealer in the centre.

Matthias Lewalter, they are called. Lovely people. They have a twin dealership in town that also does Nomos.

In Oberhausen is a very respectable and knowledgeable dealer.

My personal experience with Roberto is not so good.

Awesome thanks for all the suggestions! I might have to do a weeklong tour of all these different cities (and a perfect excuse to sample some beers  )

Go to Sinn HQ, visit the production if you go on a working day and try every modell. I do it regularly. For you it’s only 3 hours or so.

Bought a few watches there. Never had any problems! Also Morawitz in Dusseldorf is highly recommended
