Hoe komt het dat tritium bij sommige horloges verkleurd?
Ik heb meningen gehoord die zeggen dat als je het horloge in een donkere la of kast legt dat het tritium dan verkleurd en ik heb verhalen gehoord die juist zeggen dat het door de invloed van zonlicht komt.
Graag jullie mening? Of nog liever jullie waarheid.
Volgens mij zeker niet door zonlicht. Ik ga voor de eerste optie!
Whilst it may seem counter-intuitive; it is generally understood that tritium that has been exposed to little-to-no sunlight [or UV light] will produce a dark, creamy yellow patina. On the other hand, if a watch is exposed to large amounts of sunlight it tends to have a bleaching effect. Exposure to moisture/humidity is widely regarded as a catalyst for the patination and discolouration.
