Gisteren zag ik op Instagram een post van Citizen dat ze aankomende maand een gelimiteerde oplage van de Promaster Aqualand uitbrengen ter ere van het 40 jarige jubileum van dit model. Meteen ‘head over heels in

Ben als de bliksem aan het googlen geslagen en idd. binnenkort wordt deze in een gelimiteerde oplage van 5.800 stuks wereldwijd uitgebracht en ook direct 1 in pre-order besteld via WatchXL. Gelukkig was er nog wat vakantiegeld over om te spenderen aan iets wat ik niet nodig heb maar gewoon wil hebben, hebben, hebben… 
Ik zie net op de WatchXL website dat ie daar is uitverkocht dus was ik net op tijd 
Ik heb nog geen bericht ontvangen wanneer ik 'm kan verwachten maar hoop op halverwege Juli.

In 1985, Citizen launched the world’s first diver’s watch equipped with an electronic depth meter, called the “Aqualand.” This year, marking the 40th anniversary of its release, Citizen introduces a limited edition model that is a faithful yet contemporary tribute to the original design. The crown at the 4 o’clock position, three push buttons, and the distinctive bulbous depth sensor at the 9 o’clock position replicate the shape of the original model. The case features a gray matte brushed finish, while gold accents give it a special appearance befitting a 40th anniversary model. In addition to displaying the time, calendar, alarm, and chronograph functions, the digital display also allows for depth measurement and dive time tracking in dive mode. It is also equipped with an ascent rate alarm function that sounds a warning when the ascent speed exceeds a certain limit. The strap is made of BENEBiOL™*, a plant-based polyurethane. CITIZEN has adopted BENEBiOL for its straps as it is resistant to hydrolysis when exposed to moisture and has a lower impact on the environment.
The case back is engraved with a logo inspired by the iconic shape of the sensor to celebrate this momentous occasion.
