Causes of the Problem:

  • Initial Design/Manufacturing Weakness: The issue was traced to the minute-train components in the early iteration of the movement, specifically relating to the chronograph bridge and wheel setup.
  • Suboptimal Lubrication: Some reports suggested that issues with the chronograph not functioning properly were attributed to sub-optimal lubrication.
  • High-Frequency Driving Mechanism: The 3600 caliber drives the chronograph directly from the escape wheel (rather than the fourth wheel) to achieve 1/10th of a second measurement, which adds strain to the system.

Resolution:

  • Revised Movement: Zenith addressed these issues with a “silent update” to the movement, updating the bridges to fix the creep.
  • Later Production: Models produced from 2023 onwards generally have the updated movement, which does not display the same chronograph issues.
  • Service & Repairs: Owners with early models experiencing this issue have had their movements updated or repaired by Zenith service centers.

Mijn bescheiden collectie waar ik nog steeds zeer tevreden mee ben. Misschien nog een keer een Omega 1948 of een FOIS er bij, maar tot nu toe kan ik me inhouden.

Ja, tof. Ik had in 2019 het vorige model gekocht. Heb toen ook die band laten brushen. Helemaal te gek. :ok_hand:
