Lemania 5100 only

Hello! I’m new to the forum and sorry, but I don’t speak Dutch. I don’t think there’s a thread for only Lemania 5100 based chronographs, is there? I’m interested in these so I’ll start one. Here’s a couple blue Lorenz chronographs in my collection. The blue one with silver subdials is very rare. I’ve never seen another one. Has anybody else?

Revue Thommen Airspeed titanium
Blue or black?

Truer rendition of the blue color here. Revue Thommen had some of the best anti glare back then. The crystal is virtually invisible from any angle.

That blue is gorgeous! Mij RT is somewhat more ‘lived’ - something I’ve really come to appreciate.

Mine is the Airspeed Saab 95 ‘limited edition’. Of course not numbered so the limited is to be taken with a grain of salt. It is very very well loved and used, so the orange is not so vibrant anymore. The flipside is that the tritium has aged to a lovely color.

I see some spots on the crystal - that is dirt. The coating is marred, but crystal still intact.

Not many of those around. I wonder what the story is behind RT paying tribute to the Saab 95.

I’ve read that you could buy this with a 95 at the time of market introduction - but I’ve forgotten everything else I’d researched about it

These are so compact (38mm) and light that you barely know you’re wearing one, yet everything about the dial is so legible. Great tool watch. All it takes is a quick glance and you know the time, unlike some pricier tool watches. The invisible crystal helps with that.

Central hand chrono minutes is really good too for usability - I underestimated that feature. Comfortable indeed, though not slim. But yeah you, something’s gotta give.

And it has a count down bezel! My favorite.

It’s interesting that the watch in the Saab ad, though it appears to have a Lemania 5100 dial, isn’t a Saab dial. Also the watch case is different, having thicker lugs.
