Ik ben eruit.
Heb al veel plaatjes gezien en veel gelezen naar wat mijn eerste “high end watch” gaat worden.
Het wordt een Moonwatch Professional worden staal op staal. Nu heb ik voor de kenners een vraag:
wat is het verschil tussen de 311.30.42.30.01.005 en 311.30.42.30.01.006
Ja de prijs dat weet ik maar waar zit dat verschil dan allemaal in?
(Het wordt wel een nieuwe.)
O.a. saffierglas, maar dat kan ook het enige zijn.

Sapphire glas voor en sapphire zichtbodem vs het originele Hasselite glas
Doe ze beiden eens om je pols en kjk wat je bevalt. Ik zou voor de Hasselite gaan maar is best persoonlijk. Ze ogen wel anders om de pols
Als je alle plaatjes bekijkt, zul je zien dat bij de 006 de achterzijde Is voorzien van een saffierglaasje. Net als de voorzijde.
Als je voor nieuw gaat zeker om de pols doen beiden.
Dan ook zowel binnen als buiten onder verschillende hoeken bekijken…
Dat was mijn twijfel nog (maar ik deed het uit mijn hoofd) 
Enige verschil in inderdaad saffier tegenover plexi.
Saffier heeft ook nog een zichtbodem maar alleen het plexi heeft het Omaga logo in het glas gegraveerd.
De plexi variant is bij de puristen het meest populair.
De beide plaatjes die je laat zien van de Omega site? zijn identiek.
Hier een foto, links hesalite, rechts saffier. Bij saffier zie je een melkwitte rand om de wijzerplaat. Daarom ben ik voor hesalite gegaan.

Looking at the pic above, it seems Omega themselves in fact used the very same image on the respective pages for the 3570 and 3573. All the more reason to go into depth on the differences between the two;
The 3750.50.00 is powered by Caliber 1861 and has a plexi glass (hesalite) front and a closed back. This reference was replaced by the 311.30.42.30.01.005 as presented during BaselWorld 2014 in July 2014.
The 3753.50.00 on the other hand, is powered by Caliber 1863 and has both a sapphire glass on the front as well as on back. This reference was replaced by the 311.30.42.30.01.006 as presented during BaselWorld 2014 in July 2014.
Let’s take a look at the difference between the caliber 1861 and 1861. First of all, both movements were introduced in 1997 as replacements for the 861 respectively the 863. Both feature a rhodium finished as opposed to the copper and yellow finish found on their respective predecessors.
Now for the differences. While the 1861 can be regarded as the standard version of this movement, the 1863 is the ‘luxury’ model upgraded for use in models sporting a see-through caseback. It is finished thus finished to a somewhat higher degree. The baseplate features circular graining, several bridges now sport Geneva stripes and both bridges as well as levers are now adorned with polished edges. Also, the 861 (and its successor) uses a Delrin (plastic) chronograph brake since approximately 1971, a feature introduced to reduce friction on the wheels caused by a conventional steel brake. However, on the 863 and 1863 this piece was changed back to metal.
Omega Speedmaster Caliber 1861 versus 1863
Differences in the glass and caseback are quite notable. The 3570.50.00 uses a plexi glass as used on the original Moonwatches, while the 3573.50.00 uses a modern sapphire glass. There are some practical differences: plexi scratches more easily, but the scratches buff out easily. Sapphire on the other hand is much harder, but once scratched or even chipped, you’re in trouble – it is nearly impossible to polish out. But even more important might be the look and feel… The plexi has a certain kind of vintage charm and warmth to it. It is ‘softer’. The curvature of the glass is more notable and gives a distinct look. The sapphire on the other hand has crisp and clear edges and less distortion. The see-through caseback of the 3573 is a nice touch, since the caliber 1863 has enough going for it. Last but not least: the two sapphire glasses add quite a bit of heft to the Speedmaster!
What’s the better choice? That’s a matter of taste. In our humble opinion, the 3570 is the one and only choice for purists. However, if you’re looking for a nice contemporary sports watch with an classic feel and quite a bit of history behind it, the so-called Sapphire Sandwich is a great choice.
Ik weet niet hoe het bij de nieuwe modellen Is (met de geschroefde band), maar destijds toen ik ervoor keer Was ook Op de Sapphire sandwich De afwerking vh uurwerk anders en een plastic onderdeeltje Was vervangen voor een metalen. Puur vanwege esthetische redenen door de glazen achterkant.
…en vervolgens heel hard hollen
Ik ben nu ook aan het oriënteren. Ben benieuwd welke je hebt gekozen en hoe deze drie jaar later bevalt. Ik neig naar de 005. Maar ik ken mezelf en ben zo bang dat ik het plexi snel bekras. Ik weet niet hoe snel dit gaat bij normaal gebruik (mouwen die er over heen gaan bijv). Ook vind ik bij de 006 erg cool het uurwerk te zien. Maar diep in mij zegt iets dat ik voor de 005 moet gaan, je gaat ook geen oldtimer kopen met moderne velgen…
Het krassen van het plexi valt bij normaal gebruik echt wel mee. Bovendien poets je de krasjes er zo uit met Polywatch.
Disclaimer: zelf heb ik geen moonwatch meer maar een broad arrow met saffier. Ook erg fijn moet ik zeggen.
ik ben toch voor een ander horloge gegaan de SD4K maar toen had ik toch de keuze op de saffier laten vallen.
