Een hoop zoeken later, en het blijkt dat iemand anders ooit voor hetzelfde dilemma stond:
I’ve recently bought this old Porsche Design watch and couldn’t find anything on it on the Internet. For one, it doesn’t have the “IWC” logo with it, it also doesn’t have the signed fish crown, and for another, it says “SWISS ETA” at 6:00. Opening the caseback (stainless rather than, what I would expect as aluminum?) it has an ISA 317 movement:thinking:. Is it correct to assume that all early Porsche Design watches should have IWC on the dial or is this what I think it is: An early Porsche Design fake (hence the reason I cannot find anything on it?)

Er was geen goed antwoord, dus vermoedelijk fake, hoewel het geen directe kopie van de 7050S is.
Overigens had het exemplaar dat ik op een Japanse site aantrof andere wijzers en er staat geen SWISS ETA op de wijzerplaat.
Ik hou het vooralsnog op fake.
