Our collection is changing, yet again. Here’s a teaser of what you can look forward to when it returns…
The crowns across our new collection will now be fully decoupling. This means the crown disengages from the movement’s stem when you screw it out or in. Why are we so excited about this? Because operating the crown now feels as smooth as butter. Without the decoupling mechanism, you would feel the movement being manually wound when screwing the crown down. It’s the little things.
The end links have been refined… and refined again. I mentioned that we’d improve the end links to give them a more premium, luxurious feel with tighter tolerances. What I didn’t know is that we’d end up doing it twice. When the first prototypes were ready, the new end links were better, they were even good, but I could still see room for improvement. So, we started again. The new, new-end links are, finally, even better than I’d originally hoped for.
The brushing on the hands of the Commuter and Venturer GMT has reached a whole ‘nother level. If you reserved the Venturer, you will have heard the story behind this in some depth, but here’s the quick version: I’d always been happy with the brushing on these hands… but then a few months ago, I went to Japan. Seeing up close how Grand Seiko achieved a level of mastery with their hands inspired me to push things to the next level. I paused production, changed suppliers, and will be rolling out the new hands across these models going forward (photos are on their way, I promise!).
These are just some of the many refinements that the eagle-eyed will notice, and they are emblematic of where we are now versus where we were a year ago. We’re proud of where we were then. But now? It feels like we’ve come a long, long way.
The Venturer GMT will be the first model released. After first placing watches on the wrists of everyone who reserved, we’ll be making the remaining stock available to the public. Those who reserved will receive their private links at the end of July, and the public release will take place in early September on a first-come, first-served basis.
Towards the end of September, the rest of the collection will be released. This will include all our core models, The Freediver, the Summiteer (in both 36 and 38 mm), the Commuter in 36 and now in 38 mm, and the Seafarer. We won’t be doing any reservations for these, it will be a simple, simultaneous release. As soon as we’ve locked down the exact release dates and updated the website with the new colors and specs, you’ll be the first to know.

Een tl;dr was fijn geweest, wat een epistel 
Eind september eens kijken of ik een commuter 36 op de kop kan tikken. Die zilveren is heel erg fraai.

Hoe zit het met de bijkomende kosten bij Traska: is het inklaringskosten, invoerrechten en 21% btw, en wordt de btw ook geheven over de verzendkosten?
Verzendkosten dacht ik niet, omdat het gratis verzending is. De rest wel. Je betaald ong 25 procent meer.

geen fan van de kleuren in 36, had liever weer een vorm van zilver/grijs/zwart ipv puur zwart/wit die voor mij te “zwaar” dragen.

Ik vind de Summiteer in 38mm en zwarte wijzerplaat wel interessant. Zeker de nieuwste iteratie. Er is geen dealer in Nederland of Europa? Dat er 25% kosten bijkomen bij import uit de USA houdt me een beetje tegen.
