Toffe duistere foto
Good evening all,
Thank you for showing interest in this project and for your patience whilst we add all the interested members. I initially tried to set this up for the 10 year anniversary of the 787 being in service with us, but unfortunately BA weren’t prepared to support it. As such, we’ve had to keep the project completely separate from the company and utilise a design that doesn’t incorporate anything to do with BA. This is a watch for UK 787 pilots rather than BA pilots. To overcome this we sought a collaboration between Boeing and Tudor. Unfortunately this took a little longer to establish!
As I mentioned on FB, the model is the Black Bay 58 GMT. I’ll attach two brochures below, one from Tudor detailing the model, and the other specific to this collab. It’s a fantastic looking watch, and I’d recommended getting down to your nearest jeweller to take a look. I’m sure there are a lot of features that will appeal; the GMT function, adjustable T link bracelet, and smaller (master chronometer) movement really stand out.
Whilst the project is for any pilot rated on the 787, it is being offered to those in this community first. It’s a relatively small run of just 78 watches (the smallest batch of Tudor limited edition watches in commercial aviation I believe?). These will be offered on a first come basis.
Price; Tudor limited editions go for RRP. Boeing are charging royalties for the use of their trademark material but the jeweller is covering the cost of this. Metal bracelet version of the watch is £4050 whilst the rubber is £3860. If you want to purchase both straps the total is £4600.80.
